Maintenance Worker II

The Public Works Department has an open position for a maintenance worker on our right-of-way maintenance crew. Essential duties include but are not limited to:

• Operation of motor vehicles and heavy equipment
• Operation of grass cutting equipment (zero turn mowers, weed eaters, edgers, etc.)
• Flagging and directing traffic
• Litter pickup in city right-of-way and residential limb pickup
• Basic equipment maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

Required qualifications for this position include:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with operating grass cutting equipment
• Physical ability to bend, walk, stand, and lift daily in outdoor conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)

Compensation and details for the position include:

• Full time position
• 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday
• $17 per hour starting pay + benefits
