Alderman John Taylor

John Taylor grew up in the New Orleans area and graduated from Jesuit High School. He moved to the City of Madison in 1979. John earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana State University. In 1985, he joined his family's business, Taylor Industries, which moved to Gluckstadt in 1984. Taylor Industries, which manufactures specialty cleaning products, now includes American-Chemical, a company that cleans paper mills, steel mills, and other industrial clients around the country.

John is married to his wife, Lucy, and they have two children. Their daughter, Alyssa Taylor-McKell, is currently a child-care training coordinator at Mississippi State University Extension Office., and their son, John, works as a security specialist for Xai in Memphis and also serves in the Army Reserves. John and his wife Carrie Hutto-Taylor reside in Horn Lake, Mississippi with their son John Elliot.
